How to install an SSL certificate in cPanel Print

  • 0

Use these steps for a paid certificate you've bought. Free certificates are installed automatically by AutoSSL.

  1. In cPanel, open SSL/TLS in the Security section.
  2. Click Manage SSL sites.
  3. Select the domain.
  4. Paste the certificate (CRT) you received from the certificate provider. If you generated the CSR in cPanel, click Autofill by Certificate and cPanel will find the matching private key.
  5. Paste the CA bundle (intermediate certificates) if it isn't filled in automatically.
  6. Click Install Certificate.

Check the result with an SSL checker such as ssllabs.com/ssltest. If browsers warn that the certificate isn't trusted, the CA bundle is usually missing or in the wrong order.

If you bought your certificate from Managed Web, raise a ticket and we can install it for you.
