Your hosting is backed up automatically. JetBackup 5 in cPanel lets you restore files, databases and email yourself.
- In cPanel, open JetBackup 5 in the Files section.
- Choose what to restore:
- Full Backups – the entire account (overwrites everything)
- Home Directory – website files
- Databases
- Email Accounts
- DNS Zones, Cron Jobs, SSL Certificates
- Select a backup date.
- For files, click Change Files Selection to restore only specific files or folders.
- Click Restore (or Download to save a copy instead) and confirm.
- Progress shows under Queue.
Be careful with full restores
A full restore replaces all current files, databases and email with the backup's version. Anything newer, including new emails, is lost. Restore only what you need wherever possible.
