These steps use the Gmail app, which is installed on most Android phones. Other apps such as Outlook for Android use the same settings.
- Open the Gmail app, tap your profile picture and choose Add another account.
- Tap Other.
- Enter your full email address and tap Manual setup.
- Choose Personal (IMAP).
- Enter your mailbox password and tap Next.
- Incoming server settings:
- Username: your full email address
- Server: your server hostname
- Port 993, security type SSL/TLS
- Outgoing server settings:
- Tick Require sign-in, using the same username and password
- SMTP server: your server hostname
- Port 465, security type SSL/TLS
- Choose your sync options and give the account a name.
If you see a certificate warning, check that you used the server hostname rather than your own domain.
