- In WordPress, go to Plugins › Installed Plugins.
- In the Automatic Updates column, click Enable auto-updates for each plugin.
- To enable for all at once, tick the checkbox at the top of the list, choose Enable Auto-updates from Bulk actions and click Apply.
Themes have the same option under Appearance › Themes: click a theme and choose Enable auto-updates.
Using WordPress Toolkit
In cPanel's WordPress Management, you can set update policies per site, including for WordPress core, plugins and themes, and enable Smart Updates on supported plans, which tests updates on a copy before applying them.
Good practice
- Keep regular backups
- Remove plugins you don't use
- Check your site after updates, especially for e-commerce plugins
